Highland Clinic is proud to welcome Dr. Ryan Downey, a highly trained general surgeon and native of the Shreveport- Bossier area. Dr. Downey joins us after earning his MD from LSU Health Shreveport and graduating from LSU Baton Rouge, where he was honored as an LSU Medalist and President’s Alumni Scholar. After graduating, Dr. Downey proceeded to complete his General Surgery residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, where he gained advanced expertise in robotic and trauma care as an ATLS Instructor. Dr. Downey brings a strong commitment to patient-centered care, supported by exceptional training and expertise that allow him to deliver outstanding surgical care. Highland Clinic is excited to welcome Dr. Downey back to the Shreveport-Bossier community as he begins serving patients with skill, compassion, and hometown pride – now accepting new patients in Shreveport and Bossier City.
